Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know about InVelocity before you sign up — pricing, eBay integration, card scanning, and how the free trial works.
Pricing & ROI
Is InVelocity worth the cost for a small dealer?
InVelocity pays for itself if it saves you even 3–4 hours a month. At $49.99/mo, that's less than a dollar an hour — and most dealers report saving 10–20 hours per month on listing, pricing, and syncing inventory across channels. There's a 30-day free trial so you can verify the ROI before you spend a cent.
What happens if I exceed my item limit?
You can keep using InVelocity normally — we won't lock your account or delete your inventory. You'll see an in-app notice and can upgrade at any time. Tiers: Starter (2,500 items, $49.99/mo), Growth (5,000, $79.99/mo), Professional (10,000, $99.99/mo), Enterprise (20,000, $149.99/mo). Over 20,000? Contact us for a custom quote.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. The 30-day free trial starts the moment you create your account — no credit card required. You'll have access to all features: eBay integration, AI card scanning, bulk listing, storefront, and everything else.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing page at any time — no fees, no lock-in. Your inventory data stays accessible for 30 days after cancellation so you can export anything you need.
eBay Integration
How does the eBay integration work?
Connect via OAuth (one-click authorization). InVelocity pulls your existing eBay listings into your inventory, syncs prices and quantities automatically when you make changes, and lets you create new listings from within the app. When an item sells, InVelocity updates your stock count and records the sale. You can also pull and respond to Best Offers from the dashboard.
Will InVelocity accidentally change my live eBay prices or end listings?
No. InVelocity only syncs what you explicitly tell it to. The default is Price Only mode — quantity and listing status are never changed unless you update that setting. All sync actions are logged. If you prefer, you can start in read-only mode to verify everything looks correct before enabling writes.
I already have hundreds of eBay listings. What happens to them?
InVelocity imports your existing listings and identifies each card using AI. Most match automatically at high confidence. Anything uncertain lands in your Drafts queue for a quick manual review — browse matching variants by photo and pick the right one in seconds. Your live eBay listings are never touched during import.
Card Identification & AI
How accurate is the AI card scanning?
Very accurate for clear, well-lit photos. InVelocity uses a multi-stage pipeline: AI vision reads the card name, set, and number from the photo, then cross-references the TCGPlayer catalog. For reprints and variant cards (borderless, alt art, showcase), a visual comparison step selects the correct version. Over 90% of cards scan correctly on the first attempt with no manual work.
What games does InVelocity support?
Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, One Piece, Flesh and Blood, Digimon, Dragon Ball Super, Star Wars Unlimited, and more via the TCGPlayer catalog. Singles, sealed product (booster boxes, ETBs, cases), and graded cards (PSA, BGS, CGC) are all supported. For sports cards or other collectibles, you can add items manually or via CSV import.
What happens when the AI can't identify a card?
Unidentified items land in your Drafts queue with a "needs review" flag. Open Browse Matches — a photo grid of every variant of that card — and pick the right one with a single click. The system learns from your corrections to improve accuracy over time.
Getting Started
How long does it take to get set up?
Most dealers are up and running within an hour. The onboarding wizard walks you through connecting eBay, setting your pricing preferences, and adding your first inventory. If you already sell on eBay, your listings import automatically — no re-entering anything from scratch.
Can I import my existing inventory from a spreadsheet?
Yes. InVelocity accepts CSV imports. Map your columns (card name, set, condition, price, quantity, cost) and the system creates your inventory items and attempts to match each one to the TCGPlayer catalog to populate market pricing and listing content automatically.
Do I have to stop using eBay to use InVelocity?
No — InVelocity works alongside eBay. Your listings stay live and buyers purchase through eBay as normal. InVelocity gives you a better control center: one dashboard for your full catalog, automatic sync, and batch tools eBay's Seller Hub doesn't have. The InVelocity storefront for in-person or online direct sales is optional.
Storefront & POS
Does InVelocity have a point-of-sale system?
Yes. The Sales Hub includes a POS checkout flow for in-person sales: search inventory, apply store credit or discounts, and record the sale. Quantities sync automatically across eBay and your online storefront. Customer accounts, store credit, and consignment tracking are all built in.
What is the InVelocity storefront?
Every account gets a public storefront at invelocity.app/shop/your-store-name. Customers can browse your in-stock inventory, filter by game or set, and check out online via Stripe. There's also an in-store catalog mode — a QR-code-scannable browse-only view perfect for card shows or retail counter displays.
